Dad got married the beginning of November and Darrel and I worked it where I could fly back and surprise dad for the wedding. Since the kids couldn't go dad worked it where they came here for Thanksgiving. It was nice spending time with Ronda and getting to know her. Below is a picture of the grand kids with them. I don't think any turned out great but that happens some times when you have so many little ones in a picture.

October 2013 - School is under way...
I finally got the little ones pictures. This summer went fast. I am so glad to have school back in though. It is almost Halloween and it seems like once that first holiday comes they all barrel down on us and then you have not idea where the time has gone after they are over and January is here. For us though it is usually May before things slow down because of the birthdays in February, March and April. I am sure this year will be no different. Substituting has been fun this year so far and I am enjoying being back in the classroom a lot more. I am only able to work 2 or 3 days a week but that is okay. Mom is talking about coming out here for a while but we will see if she comes. She thinks she can come and I will be able to work more. I'm sure I will but I don't know if it will be too much for her. We look forward to having her though if she makes it. Darrel has fixed up the mother-in-law room or as Jake calls it (the man cave). The little ones have GREAT teachers this year. I am so excited. I know I expect too much when I want them to have exceptional teachers each year but I really feel like you should want to be teaching if you are because it is such and important job in my mind. I have been rearranging furniture and I really want to organize and purge my house. The longer I am here the less clutter I want. Hopefully this year I will be able to make a dent in it. If it looks like it then I will be doing good because normally I would have added a lot by the end of theyear. As with all things, time will tell.

September 2013 - brings new Change
The school pictures are in for the older two. Boy are they growing up fast! Mackenzie started high school this year. She likes all her teachers. Mike has become much more responsible for his work and grades. Kenzie is already thinking about drivers ed. I plan on waiting until after the holidays before I start thinking about that. Mike got his tenderfoot in scouts. He worked hard for it.
